It takes a village

The Mountain Youth Summer Programs are designed to work in partnership with educational institutions, community-based organizations, parents, and the biking, climbing, and backcountry communities in Revelstoke.

It connects the natural strengths present in the Revelstoke “village” in order to create leadership and self-empowering learning for youth based in our local mountain environment.

Open Mountains Project Generosity Policy

New this year there is a fee for courses in 2019, in efforts to acknowledge the incredible work required for guides and support staff to make these programs possible; and, to match the generous contributions made by local businesses. If for family financial reasons you are unable to contribute, we will make arrangements on a pay-what-you-can basis. Balancing financial sustainability with barrier-free access to the mountains is our priority.
